Dugualla Bay Preserve (not to be confused with Dugualla Bay State Park just down the road) is a natural area on the northeast side of Whidbey Island. Managed by the Whidbey Camano Land Trust, this is an important section of protected shoreline for salmon recovery.
The appeal for hikers largely depends on the tides. No matter the water level visitors can park in the small pullout and gaze at the bay or walk the very short dike trail to the east but for more wandering along the shore of the bay you’ll have to wait for low tide.
