This 50-acre preserve was donated to the public by Dr. George Fairfax and is managed by the Whidbey Camano Land Trust. It is now the perfect little slice of nature for hikers of all abilities.
Featuring a 1.3 mile lollipop loop, this preserve takes visitors through a forest of Douglas fir and salal to an open meadow. Along the way, signs provide the names of the numerous native plant species that grow here. On the edge of the meadow there is also a wetland.
