The Dean Creek connects the East Fork Pasayten Trail (451) to Bunker Hill on the Boundary Trail. This trail is a completely lost trail. The US Forest Service does not normally maintain it and it has not been cleared of trees in many years.
This trail is best attempted by experienced hikers with strong navigation skills (potentially a GPS as well). It crosses through a 2006 burn area and there are many downed trees on the trail. For confident hikers willing to put in the work for a shortcut to the stunning views Bunker Hill has to offer, this is a good option.
This trail is part of WTA's Lost Trails Campaign. Learn more about how we're saving lost trails across the state here.
