Hiking Chiwaukum Creek

This long and gentle valley-bottom trail provides access to Timothy Meadow within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It's the perfect basecamp for multi-night adventures.

To get there, you'll hike along a raucous waterway, making your way through groves of cedar, cottonwood, and towering Ponderosa pines. Soon, you'll arrive at gorgeous Timothy Meadows, named for a lovely wildflower that blooms in them. Horse feed and designated stock camps are located in the Timothy Meadows area.

It's possible to extend your trip from here, heading up to Brigham and Flora Lakes before ending at the junction with Icicle Ridge Trail

Note: The first section of this hike passes through private land on a road. Please hike respectfully. Keep dogs leashed and stay on the trail.
