Hiking Cady Creek

A trail that can help hikers create multiple loops in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, the the Cady Creek trail is a steep ascent from the brushy and mucky Cady Creek valley bottom.

From the trailhead, begin hiking through heavy brush and mud, climbing steadily for 3.5 miles. After hiking 3.5 miles, you'll see some good, clear campsites, perfect for pitching a tent if you're on a multi-night backpack. The trail crosses a number of small avalanche chutes that can be quite brushy, and there is plenty of water on this route, until you reach the PCT.

Continuing past the campsites, hike another 1.5 miles of trail steep and eroded trail. It ends at Cady Pass, where it intersects with the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).

To reach Lake Sally Anne, turn north and climb steadily on the high quality PCT tread for another four miles. It's a long way to the lake, but you'll have plenty of views once you are on the PCT.
