This tiny park just north of the City of Olympia covers 50 acres and features a trail leading to 1100 feet of beachfront wandering on Budd Inlet.
The trails here boast rhododendrons in the spring and Western Washington's signature lush greenery all year round. In addition to views of Puget Sound, you'll also enjoy a glimpse of the dome of the State Capitol and the majestic Olympic Mountains to the west.
For those hoping to make a day of it, there are three shelters to occupy at the park. The main shelter is largest, including an electrical outlet, grills, and seating for 38 people.
The Meadow shelter is in a quieter spot, with seating for about 25 people and one grill, while the forest shelter features the same amenities.
Reservations for any of these shelters are available.
