Deer Park is rarely accessible by vehicle in the winter. Hikers will likely have to undertake a long road walk to access Deer Park and Blue Mountain. The way is primarily on road, but once at the Deer Park campground route finding may be necessary to reach the summit of Blue Mountain.

Getting There

Headed west on Hwy 101 towards Port Angeles, turn left at Deer Park Road. Travel along the paved road, and continue along the dirt road. Once you reach the dirt road, you will be within the National Park boundaries. It is 18 miles from Hwy 101 to the trailhead.

In the winter, this road may be blocked at any point by snow.
