Hiking Blandford Canyon

With lush greenery and lots of shade, Blandford Canyon is a great location to escape into nature for a short while. Despite paralleling a main neighborhood road, it's a surprisingly secluded park and is a mostly quiet hiking experience, with the exception of birdsong.

The main trail runs south from the parking area at North Blandford Canyon Drive and MacArthur Boulevard across North Blandford Canyon Drive, south along the eastern side of the Blandford Canyon, ending at the corner of North Blandford Drive and East Evergreen Blvd.

Note that where the trail crosses North Blandford Canyon Drive, it continues on the opposite side of the canyon slightly further back up the road from the direction which you came.

The east-west connecting trail to South Cliff park (on the West side of the canyon) connects near the North Blandford Canyon Drive road crossing. A false connecting trail is also here, and runs parallel to the South Cliff Park connecting trail; To distinguish between the two: the false connecting trail section is the more south trail, and begins at the higher elevation between the two, the South Cliff park connecting trail section begins more north, and is the lower.

The east-west connecting trail to Dubois Park (on the East side of the canyon) connect directly from the East side of the road crossing, ending at the far North West corner of Dubois Park.
