Hiking Ala Spit

This trail only takes about 20 minutes to hike out and back with great views of Mount Baker, Mount Erie, Fidalgo Island, Hope Island and the inner part of Puget Sound.

There is some great kayaking and paddle boarding that can launch from this spit as well as over to Hope and Skagit Island or around the spit or just down the coast of Whidbey Island.

If you come to Whidbey Island come check it out. It is only ten minutes from Deception Pass State Park.

Getting There

From Highway 20 just south of Deception Pass, go East on Troxell Rd. Travel approximately 3.5 miles. After rounding a corner to the right, veer left on Geck Rd. (Geck Rd almost looks like a driveway). Follow it to end and park.
