Who You'll Volunteer With
WTA has a wonderful community of crew leaders who give their time and skills who help new (and experienced) volunteers learn about trail work. Read about them, then sign up for a work party to meet them in person!

Taking Care of Trails Together
Backcountry trips are multi-day work parties where you and your crew work and camp in the wilderness. They're really fun, but take a bit more prep than your average day work party. Luckily, we've got everything you need to do one comfortably, from packing lists to training.

WTA hosts family work parties and welcomes kids 10 and up to join us on trail with their parents.
We also lead youth volunteer vacations for 14- to 18-year olds.
Volunteering as a group is a fun and rewarding way to give back to trails. Spend the day team-building and learning new skills; you'll walk away with a sense of accomplishment knowing that you helped WTA in our mission to create trails for everyone, forever. No experience needed!
